INLINE COMPUTATIONAL IMAGING

22.04.2021
Berhard Blaschitz and Lukas Traxler represented the AIT at international events on computational imaging

Berhard Blaschitz and Lukas Traxler (research group High-Performance Vision Systems / Center for Vision, Automation & Control) were invited to speak at SpectroNet Collaboration Conference-2021 as well as Photonics & Machine Vision Web Pitches, both organized by SpectroNet. The online events were well visited by international experts ranging from industrial suppliers e.g. of sensor technologies for inspection tasks, to companies looking for new technologies up to research institutions.

Inline Computational Imaging for challenging inline inspection tasks

In his Web Pitch as of March 10th Bernhad Blaschitz presented the AIT single sensor technology for simultaneous 2D and 3D imaging namly ICI (Inline Computational Imaging).

The system consists of any given industrial camera and a special software module. The latter turns a series of camera images into enhanced 2D and 3D information. The AIT technology is used for challenging inline inspection tasks, where high acquisition and computation speed is required as well as the reliable capturing of difficult surface structures and materials.

Inline Computational Imaging for macroscopic and microscopic applications

At the SpectroNet Collaboration Conference, Karlsruhe (March 16th)  Lukas Traxler showcased the use of the AIT Inline Computational Imaging technology (ICI) for a wide range of applications from macroscopic to microscopic scales and different acquisition modes.

The recordings are now available @ High-Performance Vision Website.
