Left object detection

The left object detector software uses a stereo camera and 3D-enhanced image processing in order to detect in real-time any suspicious objects that are added to or removed from an indoor area under observation. Potential applications include the detection of personal belongings left behind in a mantrap access control setup. The system generates events with the location and size of the detected objects. The system operates based on 2D image data and depth information. This combination enables the robust detection of arbitrarily sized and shaped objects (either flat, such as passports, or voluminous, like suitcases).

Key features

  • Real-time alert when objects are left in monitored area
  • Reliable detection of arbitrarily sized and shaped objects
