TRAMI project enables exchange on the implementation of European missions at national level

The 2nd European Mission Forum EMIF, hosted by the Flemish Public Administration, took place in Brussels on 7 March 2024.

After two years of fruitful cooperation in the transnational and transdisciplinary EU-funded TRAMI project, the EMIF offered the opportunity to reflect and discuss successes in networking, mutual learning and mapping the implementation of European missions at national level. In dialogue with the European Commission, represented by Joanna Drake, as well as with representatives of the EU Mission Implementation Platforms and Hubs, current developments and approaches to mission governance, responsible national actors and investments were discussed.

Matthias Weber and Cornelia Reiter from the Center for Innovation Systems and Policy took part in the forum on behalf of AIT.

Matthias Weber led a high-level discussion on the monitoring of EU missions with Erkki Karo, Professor at Tallinn University of Technology, Philippe Larrue, Policy Analyst, OECD and Mireille Matt Research Director, INRAE. He also took part in the concluding panel discussion, which focused on future developments and the goal of "Advancing the EU Missions".

Cornelia Reiter presented the Mission Data Platform developed at AIT under the direction of Katja Lamprecht, a unique opportunity to make national efforts to implement EU missions visible and comparable in a standardised way on a single platform.
