The order of the day in Europe is climate neutrality by 2050. Austria wants to be another ten years faster and achieve climate neutrality by 2040. To achieve these ambitious goals, lip service is not enough. It is all about new processes, new efficiencies and innovations - this was clearly demonstrated at the first scientific conference of the NEFI Innovation Network. Due to the great interest and the immense importance of the transformation of the industrial energy system, the NEFI Innovation Network is organizing the second NEFI Scientific Conference on October 13-14, 2022 in Linz.
During the two-day international conference in the Redoutensäle in downtown Linz, experts from politics and research will discuss with industry representatives both the societal and the political and, above all, the technologically necessary changes for a climate-friendly industry. In the scientific sessions, concrete solutions and interim results from the 17 NEFI projects will be presented.
Call for papers: Experts will have the opportunity to submit their scientific papers starting in March. During the conference, the best papers will be presented to a jury of experts and awarded prizes.
Main focus: The two-day event will focus on the NEFI fields of innovation for the decarbonization of the industrial energy system.
Technological innovation fields: Energy efficiency and new processes, renewables, storage and demand side management (DSM), industry and grid.
Systemic innovation fields: Regulatory framework and policy, system solutions and infrastructure, and new business models.
When: October 13-14, 2022.
