Start-up money for start-ups-Chances and risks when investing in young companies

Jun 22
Panel discussion of the ÖAG

Start-ups, i.e. young, up-and-coming companies, often from the technology sector, are seen as a playground for wealthy investors. The tale of the garage in which the tech giant of tomorrow is founded is famous. But are these myths still relevant today? What opportunities do start-ups offer and what risks do they entail? Are there opportunities to get started, even for non-millionaires? And do the major challenges of our time, from inflation to war to climate change, speak against start-ups or perhaps in their favour?

The following will discuss this

  • Laura Egg, Managing Director, Austrian Angel Investors Association
  • Karl Heinz Leitner, Senior Scientist at AIT, Austrian Institute of Technology
  • Philip Meschke, Investment Manager, Moonfare
  • Paul Severin, Head of Investment Communication, Erste Asset Management

The evening will be moderated by Monika Rosen, Vice President of the Austrian American Association / ÖAG.

This event will take place live with an audience. Registration at events@oag.at.

The event will also be broadcast live on https://www.puls4.com and on our YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1Xo_5-l8AMNrgcG970D0tw .
