Start of the Austria Cyber Security Challenge 2021

03.05.2021
The official starting signal for the qualification for the Austria Cyber Security Challenge (ACSC 2021) will be given on 03 May 2021.

This year, for the 10th time, the Cyber Security Austria Association and the Austrian Federal Defence Agency are looking for young IT talents within the framework of the Austria Cyber Security Challenge. As always, the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology is a partner of this challenge. Last year, the organisers succeeded in inspiring more than 600 participants for this IT talent search.

The Austria Cyber Security Challenge was created to recognise and promote young talents at an early stage. The aim is to show young people career prospects and at the same time to train the cyber security experts that the Austrian economy so urgently needs. However, the Challenge is not only a competition, but also a platform where capable young people and future employers meet and where a sustainable network for Austria's security in cyberspace is formed.

The 10th anniversary also shows an impressive record of Austrian youth work. Austria has already won the title of European Champion twice and left all other nations behind. In addition, there was a 3rd and a 4th place in the competition.

And as a result of the joint work and experience, three successful start-ups were founded by participants.

In addition, the Federal Office of Defence, the Federal Chancellery, the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research, the Federal Ministry of Digitalisation and Economic Location, the Federal Ministry of the Interior and the City of Vienna, as key institutions of Austria, contributed to the establishment, implementation and success of Team Austria at the European CyberSecurity Challenge.
