17th ITI Symposium

07.11.2014
AIT Mobility, Electric Drive Technologies, participated with booth and a lecture

From 3rd to 5th November 2014, the 17th ITI Symposium took place at the International Congress Center Dresden. This year’s overall theme was „We build bridges“. More than 160 participants from research and industry attended the meeting. SimulationX users, ITI partners and ITI engineers reported in over 50 lectures about the new SimulationX version 3.7, the prototype of a SaaS solution and a hybrid simulation platform.

The two experts Hubert Umschaden and Dominik Dvorak (both from Electric Drive Technologies – Mobility Department) represented the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology in two different ways:

On the one hand, Dominik Dvorak held a presentation on "Arrhenius-Equation Based Approach for Modelling Lithium-Ion Battery Aging Effects". Thereby, he referred to the simulation library “Electric Energy Storages”, which was developed by the AIT in the programming language Modelica. The library can be used to simulate electric energy storages from cell to system level.

On the other hand, Hubert Umschaden and Dominik Dvorak represented the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology at a booth and were able to establish contacts with research and industry partners.
