Formula-based models for financing teaching at universities: Strategies, international experiences and implications for an Austrian model
The aim of the project commissioned by the Austrian Ministry for Education and Research is to study the ‘unit cost models in teaching’ in five European countries, i.e. Switzerland, England, the Netherlands, Finland, and Sweden. The aim is to identify the different strategies used, to study the role of cost accounting and to discuss different possible impacts on the performance and behaviour of universities.
