The Digital Days 2023 took place on 20 and 21 November 2023 at the Technical Museum in Vienna. This year, too, everything revolved around digital humanism. This time with a focus on its implementation. A particular highlight was the presentation of the new Digital Agenda Vienna.
Helmut Leopold, Head of the Center for Digital Safety & Security and Agnes Jodkowski, Research Engineer at the Center for Digital Safety & Security discussed at the event how we as online users should deal with the growing threat of disinformation and fake news on the internet and what important role research plays for all of us and how important initiatives for our sovereign data exchange such as Gaia-X Hub Austria are for our digital future.
At the AIT stand, Mina Schütz, Scientist at the Centre for Digital Safety & Security, showed state-of-the-art AI tools for detecting fake news.
Colleagues from Technology Experience presented their XR solutions.
The Digital Days are the annual event of DigitalCity.Vienna and are coordinated by UIV Urban Innovation Vienna, a Wien Holding company, on behalf of the City of Vienna and in cooperation with the Vienna Business Agency and the Vienna Science, Research and Technology Fund (WWTF). They bring together administration, the digital economy, science and civil society. The aim is to network the players in Vienna's digital centre in order to develop digital solutions for the city.
