At the 7th Girls! TECH UP of the Austrian Association for Electrical Engineering, technology was explained by women for women, brought closer in a playful way and career prospects were discussed.
Mina Schütz, Junior Scientist at the Center for Digital Safety & Security, presented the prototype from the Defalsif-AI project in the field of disinformation in text, images, video and audio and the Fake Shop Detector at the AIT booth. Sarah Fanta and Johanna Spreitzhofer, both (Junior) Research Engineers at the Centre for Energy, introduced the girls to the topic of virtual power plants. The participants were able to find out how the electricity system works, what flexible generators and consumers are needed for and then try it out for themselves in an online game.
