AIT know-how at the TaxTech Conference

More than 300 visitors attended the TaxTech Conference 2023 in Vienna on 14 June. Anke Schneider from the AIT Center for Technology Experience gave a presentation.
 

The TaxTech conference on the digitization of the tax industry was all about AI and digitization this year. The organizational team led by Sophie Martinez from TaxTech Austria put together a comprehensive program with over 40 speakers. The conference was opened by Digitization State Secretary Florian Tursky.

Already in the morning, Anke Schneider, computer scientist and researcher at the AIT Center for Technology Experience, gave her lecture on the topic "The importance of UX user experience in the development of tax technology". Furthermore, some exciting workshops took place in the morning.

In total, more than 30 talks and workshops were held at the TaxTech Conference. The speakers included: Susanne Pietschnig (Head of Digital Finance Transformation, Porr), Christian Kaeser (Global Head of Tax, Siemens), Bettina Karpisek (Head of Tax Compliance, OMV), Martin Spornberger (Partner, ASP Althuber Spornberger). & Partner), Natalie Enzinger (tax consultant with a focus on crypto assets, Enzinger Steuerberatung), Stefan Malin (Head of Tax, Österreichische Post AG), Vanessa Pfeiffer (Head of Group Tax, Rosenbauer), Barbara Cech (Vice President, Record2Report), Barbara Hölzl (VP Tax Governance, Unicredit) and Martin Hörmann (Government Affairs Director, Microsoft).
