Multi-level governance - a prerequisite for successful Cities Mission implementation

Multi-level governance is seen as one of the key factors towards achieving the Cities Mission towards climate neutrality. Innovative approaches are needed to strengthen collaboration across governance levels and advance urban support structures.

Join our next CapaCITIES alliance webinar to learn more about multi-level governance practices across Europe and exchange experiences and challenges to strengthen collaborative governance for urban transitions.

We will discuss how governments are committing themselves to drive urban transitions and become well prepared for the Cities Mission implementation. Questions will be addressed on how fruitful multi-level governance can look like and how to create an innovative ecosystem and engage with the Mission Cities.

It is the second event of the CapaCITIES Transnational Alliance which builds the opportunity for the national partners in CapaCITIES Core Countries to promote and share their ongoing activities in a wider forum. The first webinar in March 2023 had  90 participants from all over Europe (national, regional and local policy makers, public authorities, ministries in charge of the sectoral transitions, funding agencies, national urban policy agencies/authorities, cities and urban actors). This time the focus shall be on good practices on how involvement of industry and research (FI) and dedicated funding of R&I and agencies  (RO, IT) support urban transitions.
