MEDUSA: A Milestone for Medium Voltage Megawatt Charging

Jun 27

MEDUSA project event on 27th June 2023 (c)getty images

The decarbonisation of transport is an essential building block for achieving climate targets. For the complete electrification of heavy vehicles and buses, innovative approaches and an intelligent high-performance charging infrastructure are still needed.

The aim of the MEDUSA project is to develop a fast charging station and the corresponding infrastructure for heavy vehicles and buses. Halfway through or after the first project period, we would like to invite you to discuss the first results together.

At the Medusa event, experts from AIT, AVL, EnerCharge, Infineon and Xelectrix will present the outputs and findings from the first project phase. The focus was on the requirements definitions, the topological implementation as well as the design and comparison of several solutions and a concept demonstration. These results form the basis for the next step - the construction of a large-scale demonstrator as well as analyses of geographical conditions and traffic flows coupled with network simulation.

Time: 27th June 2023: 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Venue: AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, Giefinggasse 2, 1210 Vienna
