AIT hosts International Vision Standards Meeting of the EMVA

07.03.2023

AIT Center for Vision, Automation & Control and its research group High-Performance Vision Systems will host the International Vision Standards Meeting (IVSM) / EMVA, April 17th-20th 2023.

Two times a year, the International Vision Standards Meeting (IVSM) gathers machine vision experts in the standard working groups to further develop the most commonly used standards in the machine vision industry. The IVSM Spring Meeting will be organized as a hybrid event and approximately 80 international participants from the "Global G3 Standards" (North America, China, Japan and Europe) are expected.

Each machine vision standard has its own working group which works continuously on the further development of the standard. Standard group members are experts from machine vision companies as well as scientists. They meet personally twice a year during the IVSM. Always being one of the highlights, the meeting will include the traditional “plugfest” where engineers apply the standards connecting a wide range of products to test compatibility, functionality and technical performance. For the first time the “plugfest” will be open for the professional community and brings together different experts to exchange ideas and to network.

As a social program, the AIT invites to a dinner in a typical Viennese restaurant and offers guided tours through different AIT labs such as the Machine Vision Lab, TX Lab, BatteryLab and the Photonics & Quantum Communication Lab.
