CANCELLED: Battery researcher Katja Fröhlich at the Wissensdurst-Festival 2020

Apr 21-22
Due to the current situation around the coronavirus and the resulting restrictions in public life, the Wissensdurst Festival is cancelled.

As part of the Wissensdurst- Festival 2020, Katja Fröhlich will speak on April 21 about her current research in the field of battery development at AIT. Under the title "The Electrification of the Transport Sector: How the Li-ion battery is changing the world and why this was financed by oil companies" she will give interested participants insights into current issues relating to energy storage systems for electric mobility applications.

The Wissensdurst-Festival will take place for the 4th time in 2020 and is organized by the non-profit "Association for Local Science Communication". From April 20 - 22, local scientists will report on their latest breakthroughs in a relaxed atmosphere and provide insights into local research activities. The festival takes place at the same time in four Austrian cities and offers lectures on several scientific topics. Started in 2016 in collaboration with "Pint of Science" in Innsbruck, the initiative has been running independently throughout Austria since 2017.
