Reaching new industries, vendors, and another community. This were the reasons why to bring SEMANTiCS conference series to Amsterdam. The feedback and the pure figures show the success of that effort. Exact 370 attendees joined the SEMANTiCS Conference in Amsterdam. The 13th edition of SEMANTiCS combined researchers, professionals, and practitioners from across the globe - from a total of 28 different countries.
The six parallel tracks were packed with a total of 57 talks, five keynote talks and three interactive panel discussions. This year's workshop program counted another 16 special workshops, together with the 54 scientific posters which were presented at the conference to us. So again SEMANTiCS provided the annual forum for discussion and learning about the recent and advanced topics in Semantic Web Technologies.
Very well recevied was the Data Science Track chaired by AIT expert Bernhard Haselhofer and Laura Hollnik, who organized this track for the first time.
