Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, Identity Management - AIT's research team in the field of cryptography has a broad variety of activities. Especially in the 2 large EU research initiatives Prismacloud and Credential, the team around Thomas Lorünser is leading a consortium of international partners and contributes significantly to the development of new cryptographic methods. The Prismacloud project focuses on new, secure cloud storage services in terms of data and failure security. As part of the Credential project, data protection solutions for identity management are developed so that the provider does not learn all the data and actions of the user.
Especially in Cloud Computing, encryption and data security play an immense role. Therefore, Experis, part of the Manpower Group, asked Thomas Lorünser from AIT to talk about opportunities and risks of cloud computing, as well as the potentials involved in cloud services and to give some insights into the life and career as a researcher in such a vivid field.
