SPARKS, a EU funded project, aims at developing technologies, methods and guidelines for secure and reliable operation of future smart grids being threatend by possible cyber attacks. The SPARKS consortium , coordinated by the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, consists of a well balanced team of complementary projectpartners, like distribution system operators, manufacturers, research institutions and universities. Most of them bear longterm expieriences in the fields of smart grids, critical infrastructure and informationsecurity.
