The international conference and exhibition for IT-solutions in public transport attracted approximately 5.000 mobility leaders and experts from 60 nations – more than one third more attendants compared to 2014. About 2010 exhibitors from 34 countries presented the latest digital solutions for passenger transport of tomorrow.
This year’s event focused on mobility as a customized service and the occurrence of new mobility stakeholders and services. AIT follows this trend by introducing their newest service “AIT Smart Survey”, a novel tool for mobility surveys using smartphones. Smart Survey automatically distinguishes eight different transport modes and collects detailed and reliable information on distances covered for cities, municipalities, traffic planners and mobility researchers.
At the AIT-booth visitors could also catch up on the newest technologies for simulation and analysis of passenger flows. These tools enable the provision of important decision support for the design of train stations or airports and for the development of rail vehicles.
