The design of new diagnostic Point-of-Care instruments within the EU-project CARE-MAN requires a comprehensive quality management that ranges from first developments, over technical validation to clinical routine application. The web based database and related interfaces for an automatic data exchange of these devices have been primarily developed by the AIT and provides the basis for an integrated validation chain from assay to clinical trials.
The tailored ICT-solution covers the requested quality management aspect during development as well as comprehensive data analysis in the context of clinical research. Beside a manual data entry, optimized algorithms for data processing and graphical representation are in the spotlight of the AIT participation.
