Innovative digital assistant for the movement spaces of the future
Mobility is an essential part of our society and is based on an efficient transport system. Current global trends such as digitization and automated driving are initiating a far-reaching change and indicate that locomotion in urban areas will undergo massive changes. While the technical characteristics of a means of transport are becoming less important as a selection criterion, the close interlocking of transport modes and their comfortable use is a prerequisite for satisfied customers. A major challenge is therefore to make the transport system easily accessible despite its increasing complexity and to provide individualized information. It remains to be seen whether we users will gain sovereignty or turn away from the "brave new world of transport" for fear of being overwhelmed.
The project "FX-Future eXperience" addresses this issue by identifying trends in the digitalization and automation of vehicles and developing new innovative information and interaction designs for a mobility assistant that enable all user groups to access future mobility offers at a low threshold. For this purpose, information and interaction designs for a digital assistant with Augmented Reality (AR) technologies will be developed. In the sense of User Centered Design, information and interaction designs will be developed in several iterations and the user experience will be evaluated in a Virtual Reality (VR) mobility test environment, which allows for realistic testing and situational evaluation of different situations.
