This project contracted by the Austrian Research Promotion Fund (FFG) aims to investigate the role and characteristics of R&D and innovation in the Austrian service sector. The service sector is crucial for economic growth and employment and R&D-driven innovations increasingly contribute to the development and competitiveness of this sector. While traditionally R&D and innovation are associated with the manufacturing sector, we investigate in more detail the specifics of the innovation process in the service sector.
