Ensuring the future of food systems
The European research project FIT4FOOD2030 is to set the course for the future of the European food system. In line with the European Commission's Food2030 strategy, the project examines the current trends, showcases and potential breakthroughs in research and innovation that can successfully provide accessible, healthy and sustainable food for all. The aim is to make European food systems future-proof through research and innovation (R&I). In the first year, the project focused on laying the foundations for the establishment of the multi-stakeholder platform FOOD2030 with the EU Think Tank and the Policy and City Labs. In addition, current trends, showcases and breakthroughs in the innovation landscape of food systems were analyzed.
