Project description
Within the framework of the IEA IETS Annex 15, potentials for the use of excess heat as well as technologies for their integration are collected from national research activities, bundled and prepared. The aim of the project is to strengthen international research cooperation and to exchange knowledge from the respective national research activities.
Phase 4 of Annex 15 focusses on the following points:
- Combination of methods for identifying and quantifying heat surpluses
- Exchange of experience on strategic planning and risk minimisation in waste heat projects
- Effects of future changes in industrial energy systems with a focus on excess heat
- Work on an online database for waste heat projects
Newly gained knowledge will be disseminated nationally, e.g. in the course of a stakeholder workshop, and incorporated into ongoing research activities.
