Austrian Bike-Sharing Survey Published

20.06.2018
Survey of Austrian Bike-Sharing Systems for Touristic Use

The abridged version of the survey "TourismusRadVerleih” is now publicly available and features a detailed analysis and evaluation of the most important national bike-sharing systems. Successful international examples were selected and their success factors identified. The findings were discussed with experts in order to identify currently unused potential, to develop proposals for an Austria-wide information and booking system and to estimate the future development potential of this tourism sector.

The AIT Center for Mobility Systems was commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Sustainability and Tourism (BMNT) together with the MODUL University Vienna in cooperation with the national tourism organisations.
