Reliable and Silent Transport Infrastructure
Buildings and infrastructure constructions are subject to increasing stress, caused among other things by increased traffic impact, ageing of buildings, natural hazards and vibrations. This is offset by increased demands on the structural dynamics of both existing and new, vibration-prone structures.
Vibrations and the resulting dynamic effects influence the load-bearing behaviour, service life and serviceability of buildings. An important goal of the AIT is to guarantee a highly resilient, resource-saving and safe transport network.
