EvAALuation²

Development of an indicator set for measuring the effects and efficiency improvements of AAL solutions

Goal of the EvAALuation study is the development of a set of indicators for assessing the (efficiency) impact of AAL solutions. The set addresses striven impacts of AAL products and services on subjective, institutional and social levels. EvAALuation features an interdisciplinary approach, sound involvement of all stakeholder groups, and consideration of pragmatic and ethical aspects as well as explicit reference to future exploitation.

The iterative development of the indicators follows the general principles of method and data triangulation. On the basis of defined goals, an in-depth literature analysis and a sound stakeholder analysis an indicator set is developed and validated. In a workshop as well as an online survey s, the set will be assessed with regard to its completeness, ethical aspects as well as relevance, acceptability, credibility, easiness and robustness. The close involvement of representatives of the areas public, business, research as well as end users and thus the participatory further development ensures that the stakeholders’ pragmatic and ethical requirements are met.
