WONDERCUT

The project WONDERCUT responds to the increasing importance of AI and new technologies in various fields and examines the opportunities, challenges and risks this brings for the cultural and creative sector. Together with four partners from the non-profit, creative and academic sectors, WONDERCUT explores the public added value of AI in the cultural world and advocates for the democratisation of access to cultural institutions.

The aim of WONDERCUT is to develop a better understanding of the needs of museum visitors and to create interactive, participatory experiences. The project uses AI as a creative tool to promote new, innovative ways of interacting with art and broaden cultural participation. It is aimed at cultural and creative professionals and appeals to a broad audience that includes both museum visitors and the general public.

WONDERCUT is an innovative project that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to transform the museum experience for young people, especially millennials and Gen Z. With an AI-powered app, users can insert their face into artworks from exhibitions to create personalised, unforgettable memories. This combination of art and technology makes the museum experience more interactive and relevant for a young target group.

The Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) is participating in the research as part of the WONDERCUT project and is developing guidelines for the use of AI, investigating the role, possibilities and areas of application of AI in the museum and cultural sector.
