In the ‘via-AUTONOM’ project, a team under the consortium leadership of the AIT researched the road of the future.
What infrastructure do automated vehicles need to be able to travel safely and efficiently on Austria's roads? This was one of the key questions of the research project, which ran from 2016 to 2018. The answer: targeted infrastructure measures and reliable real-time data are needed to support automated vehicles on our roads.
Now ‘via-AUTONOM’ has been presented as a success story by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency FFG:
