AIT expertise at the CHI 2019 in Glasgow

03.06.2019
Erfolgreicher AIT Auftritt auf der führenden Konferenz für Mensch-Computer Interaction

AIT was once again represented at this year's CHI conference in Glasgow with a great deal of expertise, including from the Center for Technology Experience.

Peter Fröhlich, Senior Scientist at the AIT Center for Technology Experience and Manfred Tscheligi, Head of Center for Technology Experience, were able to convince the expert jury in a selective selection process and thus took over the co-organisation of the workshop ‘Everyday Automation Experience’ at CHI. The workshop dealt with solutions to better support users of automated everyday systems. Around 30 international experts discussed and developed cross-application approaches. The focus was on increased comprehensibility, extended possibilities for configuration and intervention, as well as a clearer understanding of the perception and experience of automated everyday systems.

Furthermore, of the 2,958 submissions, the AIT contribution by Julia Himmelsbach (Center for Technology Experience) on the topic ‘Do We Care About Diversity in Human Computer Interaction: A Comprehensive Content Analysis on Diversity Dimensions in Research.’ was accepted (~23.8% acceptance rate) and the AIT paper ‘Socio-technical Dynamics: Cooperation of Emergent and Established Organisations in Crisis and Disasters’ by AIT Junior Scientist Daniel Auferbauer (Center for Digital Safety and Security) were honoured.
