On 8 November 2024, Christoph Neumayer, Secretary General of the Federation of Austrian Industries (IV), visited the AIT at the Giefinggasse site together with Isabella Meran-Waldstein, Deputy Chair of the AIT Supervisory Board (Head of Research, Technology & Innovation within the IV). The guests were welcomed by AIT Managing Directors Brigitte Bach, Andreas Kugi and Alexander Svejkovsky.
After a warm welcome, the labs tour began, including the Machine Vision Lab, the Battery Lab including the new Solid State Battery Lab and the Photonics & Quantum Communication Lab. The focus was on topics such as autonomous machines, battery technologies and quantum communication.
