Artificial intelligence (AI or AI) is already a reality in many companies. But what are the concrete chances and practical applications? From 26 - 28 May 2020, more than 30 AI experts* will provide concrete answers at the virtual trade fair and conference organized by CW Fachverlag.
The AIT Austrian Institute of Technology is also sending experts to give lectures. The AIT Center for Digital Safety & Security has comprehensive core competence in data science and AI and is working, for example, on the development of state-of-the-art AI-based services and solutions that are applied in a wide range of areas where large amounts of data can be analysed in real time and patterns and deviations can be detected. Against this background, Helmut Leopold, Head of the Center for Digital Safety & Security at AIT, will highlight in his presentation the fundamental challenges relating to explainability, ethics and responsibility, but also society as a whole, which must be solved if AI is to be used in a meaningful and value-added manner in the future.
Artificial intelligence is already being researched at the AIT on a wide variety of levels. Whether automated driving, robotics, Industry 4.0, public safety, cyber security or applications in the banking and insurance sectors, and much more - the potential applications are manifold. Against this background, the automated operation of machines and vehicles is also an increasingly relevant AI topic, as it can increase safety, work efficiency and comfort. Recent developments in machine learning, computer vision and robotics promise completely new possibilities in numerous application areas. Csaba Beleznai, Senior Scientist at the Center for Vision, Automation & Control will therefore explain in his presentation the effects of machine learning on assistance and autonomous systems.
The entire conference will take place online.
Participation is free of charge after registration via PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone.
