How to analyse rescue operations to make them even safer and more efficient in the future? An innovative project in which the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology is involved is developing an AI-based sensor system that analyses rescue operations under human supervision (human-in-the-loop approach). The technology, which was developed in the ‘Measure’ project together with the Red Cross, fire brigades, the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien and the Disaster Competence Network Austria, allows objective data to be generated, biases to be avoided and potential improvements for future operations to be identified in a targeted manner. ORF Niederösterreich reports on it and provides exciting insights into this forward-looking project. The project was funded by the Austrian KIRAS security research programme, which is financed by the BMF.
