On October 20, 2025, the Austrian Control Bank (OeKB) in Vienna will host the specialist event “IT in Transition.” The focus will be on the profound changes at the interface between technology, business, and society—from new cloud architectures and resilience strategies to the impact of artificial intelligence on our economic and social model.
Erwin Schoitsch, Center for Digital Safety & Security, will address key questions about the role of technology and values in an increasingly digitalized world in his presentation “Society 5.0 – Are AI and other disruptive technologies influencing the economic and social model?”
Erwin Schoitsch is considered one of Austria's most experienced experts in the field of safety-critical and reliable computer systems and has been active for decades in international standardization bodies (IEC, ISO) and European research programs (Horizon Europe, Chips JU).
