Squeezed Quantum prOcessing with Photonics and Electronics 

The project “SQOPE - Squeezed Quantum prOcessing with Photonics and Electronics” is an international collaboration among University of Ghent (IDLab and PRG), AIT Austrian Institute of Technology (quantum group) and University of Vienna (Walther group). In the SQOPE project, the design, fabrication and characterization of integrated squeezers and balanced receivers will be investigated. A new integration platform to host the squeezed sources, namely silicon photonics will be explored. The applications of this study are in quantum communication (continuous variable quantum key distribution) and in optical quantum computing (demonstration of gaussian boson sampling).
