Qu-pilot is a European Quantum Flagship project which consists of 21 partners from 9 different countries aiming to develop and provide access to the first production facilities for quantum technologies in Europe. The goal is to create a federation of pilot lines in Europe for quantum devices along 4 platforms: superconducting, semiconducting, photonics and diamond. These four technology platforms, together, will cater to the broad spectrum of applications like quantum computing, communications and sensing. The Qu-pilot Framework Partnership Agreement (FPA) lasts 7 years. Two Specific Grant Agreement (SGA) of 3.5 years each are foreseen to be implemented within this time frame. The first Qu-pilot SGA started on the 1st of April 2023. AIT is involved in the photonics work package, supporting test and prototyping of photonic integrated circuits.
