QSNP is a European Quantum Flagship project that aims to develop quantum cryptography technology to secure the transmission of information over the internet. QSNP will contribute to the European sovereignty in quantum technology for cybersecurity protecting the privacy and the sensitive information of European citizens transmitted over the internet. The Framework Partnership Agreement (FPA) lasts 7 years. Two Specific Grant Agreement (SGA) of 3.5 years each are foreseen to be implemented within this time frame. The first QSNP SGA started on the 1st of March 2023. AIT is work package leader in the development of quantum photonic integrated circuits, research activities which follow up on the UNIQORN project, coordinated by AIT, of the Quantum Flagship rump up phase.
