RISIS (Research Infrastructure for Research and Innovation Policy Studies) was the first pan-European research infrastructure to support and further develop science and innovation studies in the context of RTI policy. This infrastructure aimed to give new impetus to empirical innovation research and provide an improved information base for the design and evaluation of RTI policy in Europe.
It offers researchers from all over Europe centralised and free access to the infrastructure's information and knowledge base. This opens up new opportunities for empirical work on relevant research questions from innovation research and RTI policy, but also from economics, economic geography and the social sciences in general.
