Assistency Systems for the production of Human-Machine Cooperations

The aim of MMAssist is to examine the nature and characteristics in the context of production and to develop optimized assistency systems, which can be used and evaluated in industrial fields. The basis for the assistency realization are the so called "Assistance Units" - modular unities, which provide the specific assistency functionality for users and scenarios in a multimodal way. Assistance Units can be generalised and re-used, which has a major impact on industrial partners. Our partners implement the Assistance Units as a Software Framework in order to create a basis for their functional usage. Employees of producing companies are evaluating the working conditions in real life. In this way, new insights concerning the acceptance and experience when using assistency systems can be generated. This also allows us to minimize the workload and suppport all employees.
