The Voltera research project was awarded first place in the “Non-University Research” category, while the Green Manikin project took third place. The award ceremony took place at the MuseumsQuartier in Vienna.
With Voltera, AIT demonstrates how the combination of artificial intelligence and physical modeling can make a decisive contribution to the stability and flexibility of future energy systems. The system analyzes power grids in real time and enables the safe integration of renewable energies—a central component of the energy transition.
Green Manikin also underscores AIT’s innovative strength: The AI-supported mixed-reality solution for first aid and emergency training combines real medical procedures with immersive digital scenarios, achieving a training quality that closely mirrors real-world operational situations.
The Houska Prize, awarded by the B&C Private Foundation, is considered the most prestigious private award for applied research in Austria and honors projects with high innovative potential and economic relevance.
We warmly congratulate all participating colleagues and project partners on this great success!
