How can artificial intelligence make photovoltaic manufacturing more efficient, robust, and transparent? This question will be at the center of a presentation by Laurin Ginner, researcher at AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, during the Platform-ZERO Webinar #4 – AI-Driven Process Monitoring and Control on March 24, 2026.
The webinar will focus on how AI-based methods can support photovoltaic production through smarter and more reliable process monitoring. This includes the early detection of deviations, the optimization of process parameters, and support for data-driven decision-making directly on the production line.
At AIT, the High-Performance Vision Systems research group develops the machine learning models behind these capabilities. These include multimodal data fusion, predictive modelling, and explainable AI (XAI) analyses that make model outputs understandable for operators and engineers. The aim is to develop AI tools that are not only powerful, but also reliable, transparent, and suitable for deployment in real industrial environments.
The webinar will show how AI-powered tools can analyze production data in real time, detect anomalies at an early stage, and optimize process parameters, thereby contributing to improved production control.
