Current analyses of market trends, industry structures and competitors are becoming increasingly important in applied research, whether it is for aligning future research activities, identifying potential customers and partner companies for contract research, or as a basis for market and exploitation sections of research proposals.
At the International Market Intelligence Conference in Luxembourg from 7-9 May, Nicole Schnait, Market Intelligence Specialist at the AIT Center for Mobility Systems, exchanged ideas with experts from all five continents on the latest methods and current case studies in the field of market and competitor analysis. The participants included market intelligence managers from international industrial companies such as Airbus, Siemens, Bosch, SAP, Microsoft and Eli Lilly, as well as professors from leading university institutes in the field of market intelligence, such as the University of Ottawa and the Halmstad University School of Business.
