Quality and yield assurance for PV systems in practice

The economic efficiency of a PV system is determined to a large extent by its service life. In order to achieve the desired targets, the topic of quality assurance is therefore inextricably linked to the topic of photovoltaics. In the course of this training, participants will be presented with common quality assurance concepts and relevant quality criteria for components.

Target group

This training is aimed at electrical engineers and specialist planners in the field of photovoltaics with several years of professional experience.
Prerequisites

Basic electrical engineering knowledge as well as several years of experience in the PV sector.

Course content

  • Standard-compliant system testing
  • Acceptance protocol and plant documentation in practice
  • Standards and their importance for quality assurance in practice (IEC 61215,
  • IEC 61646, EN 50380, IEC 61730)
  • Quality assurance procedures
  • Thermography
  • Electroluminescence etc.
  • Quality criteria for plant components

Acquired knowledge and skills

After completing the training, persons have the following knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge of possible methods, procedures and their application for quality assurance as well as relevant guidelines in the daily work of a photovoltaic technician or planner.
  • Basic knowledge and practical knowledge of measurement and test protocols of photovoltaic systems
  • Interpretation and evaluation of the measurements carried out during system commissioning and inspection
  • Knowledge of the necessary quality criteria of the components used as well as the necessary system documentation during handover to the customer
  • Practical examples

The imparted core competence is the understanding and correct use of tools and methods as well as their parameters, which guarantee a high plant quality for standard photovoltaic plants.

Course duration

8 learning units / 1 course day
(full day from 9:00 to 17:00)

Costs: 500,-

Certification

This continuing education is recognized as relevant continuing education within the certification program of certified photovoltaic technicians or planners. Certified persons receive a 10% discount when attending the continuing education.
