Cotevos - Developing Capacities for Interoperability Asse

The objective of WP3 is to analyse, define and develop the reference architecture to assess that EV/EVSE systems can interoperate and be used by the smart grid actors, as defined in M/468 (Standardization for road vehicles and associated infrastructure) and M/490.As COTEVOS is also heading towards future charging technologies, e.g., vehicle to grid (V2G), controlled charging and additional information about the EV(-simulator) like state of charge (SOC) will be needed, which is not fully accessible by the charging station today. Here the concepts are not fully defined yet and therefore we might need to cover one (or more) of the proposed charging infrastructure concepts. The specific objectives are the following:

  • Identify the protocols used by (smart) grid actors
  • Evaluate current level of interoperability for charging interfaces
  • Define (set of) smart grid environment(s) as charging infrastructure
  • Correlation of input/output parameters for test setups (together with WP 4 and 5)
  • Definition of data transfer infrastructure (data transfer protocols)
  • Interface software development
  • Validation of data exchange
