At LKR, we are dedicated to the research and development of aluminum wrought alloys with high recycled content. Our key areas of expertise are improving the mechanical properties, the use of tramp elements such as Fe, and the design of alloys with reduced heat treatment requirements. We understand that the energy and time needed for heat treatment can be a significant burden on the environment and on production costs. By minimizing these requirements, we can significantly reduce the carbon footprint of our alloys. In some cases, we have even been able to develop alloys that do not require homogenization, resulting in significant cost and energy savings.

Our state-of-the-art facilities and advanced simulation tools allow us to accurately predict the performance of our alloys, ensuring that you receive a product that meets your requirements. We can perform casting, heat treatments as well as extrusion, forging, and rolling at semi-industrial scale. In addition to our expertise in alloy and process design, we are also renowned for our characterization capabilities, particularly with regards to intermetallic phases (including dispersoids), texture, and mechanical properties.
