- WISPER won in the ‘Education and Social Affairs’ category. This AI-based language learning solution helps nursery school children learn German through play. AIT project manager: Georg Regal
- BioCapture received the eAward in the ‘Services and Processes’ category. The technology enables contactless fingerprint identification via smartphone and is currently being rolled out across Austria. AIT project manager: Bernhard Kohn
- ReUseTex was recognised in the ‘Sustainability’ category. Using AI, computer vision and robotics, the project enables the automated sorting of used textiles. AIT project manager: Markus Clabian
- VÖSI’s AI map won in the ‘Future Technologies’ category. The platform highlights over 150 Austrian AI use cases and connects business, research and public administration. Jasmin Lampert and Christine Wahlmüller-Schiller from AIT are part of the team, which operates on a voluntary basis.
AIT Scientific Director Andreas Kugi emphasized that the four awards highlighted the high quality and practical relevance of AIT’s research, as well as the successful collaboration with partners from the private and public sectors.
In addition, the AIT projects MAKING PEDs and Fraud Prevention & Monitoring Systems (FPMS) were nominated. The eAward has been presented annually by Report Verlag since 2005 and is one of Austria’s most prestigious business awards.
