A hackathon is an event where mostly young programmers and companies come together to solve problems. Innovative and sustainable. The Europe Tech Hackathon 2024 is about finding new technical solutions for an environmentally friendly future in Europe with the help of artificial intelligence.
The Europe Tech Hackathon 2024 is a competition that took place as part of the ViennaUP startup festival on 6 June 2024. The teams had 2 days in their respective category (there were 3 challenges).
Mina Schütz, Scientist at the Centre for Digital Safety & Security and Marie-Theres Raberger, Recruiting & HR Development at AIT took part in this event. Mina spoke in her keynote about the research focus and tools around Disinformation, Hate Speech and Extremism and was also a mentor/sparring partner for the participants. Marie-Theres gave the students an overview of the training opportunities and internships at AIT. The atmosphere was very good and everyone worked hard on their challenges.
