Automated aerial vehicles support emergency forces

High-performance data transmission for UAV

Crisis and disaster situations, major emergencies, safety-critical events and dynamically changing security situations pose enormous challenges for emergency forces. Innovative technical solutions are needed to optimize mission command, deploy resources efficiently and reduce the risk of danger to emergency forces.  Large-scale and comprehensive situational awareness information, available in near-real time, is essential for rapid decision-making and efficient and targeted action to protect lives and critical infrastructure.
In the future, autonomous unmanned aerial vehicles, a powerful tracking antenna system and intelligent algorithms will support these tasks.

While the autonomous UAV flies over the area of operation and records the situation in real time, the data are securely transmitted to a ground station via a high-performance tracking antenna system without using high-bandwidth, low-latency infrastructure. There, intelligent algorithms analyse the aerial image in real time. With the help of AI, a large-scale map is created that provides the emergency services with comprehensive and valuable information - enabling them to better assess the situation and organize their operations efficiently.
