On April 9, 2025, the 33rd general meeting of the A3PS - Austrian Association for Advanced Propulsion Systems took place at the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology in Giefinggasse in Vienna. The morning was dedicated to the board elections for the period 2025-2027. The members present confirmed the previous board members in their positions:
- Peter Prenninger (AVL) as chairman of the board,
- Christian Chimani (AIT) as deputy chairman of the board,
- Michael Nöst (IESTA) as financial officer,
- Bernhard Brandstätter (Virtual Vehicle) as secretary,
- Anton Werkgartner (MAGNA) as deputy financial officer and deputy secretary.
In the afternoon, the participants had the opportunity to visit part of the extensive laboratory infrastructure at the AIT site in Giefinggasse. The lab tour included the following stops:
- In the Center for Vision, Automation & Control's Machine Vision Lab, Marcus Clabian showed current developments in the field of visual sensor systems and their practical applications.
- The AIT Cyber Range of the Center for Digital Safety & Security was presented by Lenhard Reuter and Christoph Schmittner and demonstrated the latest approaches to cyber security.
- Helfried Brunner gave a tour of the SMARTEST Lab and the DC-Lab of the Center for Energy, which offer innovative solutions for energy systems and DC technologies.
- In the Center for Transport Technologies' battery and drive laboratory, Katja Fröhlich and Dragan Simic provided insights into research on energy storage and electric drives.
The 33rd A3PS general meeting, followed by a social program, once again highlighted the close cooperation between industry and research in the field of sustainable drive technologies. Participants gained valuable insights into current projects and developments.
