The award of the partnership certifies that the AIT has outstanding expertise in the field of logistics and transport optimisation, as determined by the brand owners under the leadership of the Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK). AIT is committed to the goal of further strengthening Austria as a business location and the logistics industry through excellent research and development work.

Arno Klamminger, Head of Center for Mobility Systems at AIT: ‘Logistics is one of the most important elements for a successfully functioning economy. An essential goal of our research work is therefore to increase efficiency, economy and environmental compatibility in freight transport. With the solutions developed in our projects, we are helping the industry to meet the challenges of the future and successfully break new ground. We are pleased to be a partner of AUSTRIAN LOGISTICS and to be able to contribute to strengthening the innovative power of the domestic transport industry.’

Martin Reinthaler, logistics expert at AIT: ‘In the field of freight transport, cooperation is needed: cooperative logistics systems enable better utilisation of transport resources, thus leading to greater economic efficiency while protecting the environment. We are convinced that cooperation within the framework of AUSTRIAN LOGISTICS will strengthen the industry as a whole. As research partners, we want to contribute to this by developing innovative logistics concepts, solutions for optimising route planning or for automating yard logistics.’
